One the opening lines begins with you have all heard of Alcatraz. Well this prison was 100 years old when Alcatraz opened up. Prison opened 1836 until 2004. Time; Tour begins at 1;00 pm. need to be there at 12:30 to sign waiver. Cost: 15.00 per person. (I will collect money at QT) Weather; this is a rain or shine event. Whats it about: A 2 hour tour where the tour guides are past guards. What to see: You see the cell block , whipping post, cave and gas chamber. What you can bring in; No food. Bottle water is ok. Please take trash out with you. Lunch: We will be eating at prison brew pub. They open at 11:00. They are located at 305 Ash St. in Jeff City. Route:We will meet at the Quick Trip at Hwy 70 and Wentzville Pwky. I am planning on leaving at 9:00 am and taking Hwy 70 west to the Hwy 54 (kingdom city) exit. Rest break there. Continue on Hwy 54 on to Hwy 50 into Jeff city. Make Left turn onto Lafayette St. Make Right turn onto E Mc Carty St. Make Left on Ash St. I have reservations for 10 right now.
